After tweeting teasers the past two weeks, Britney Spears premiered her long-awaited music video "Hold It Against Me" Thursday — and you get two Brits for the price of one.

The pop star engages in a high-heeled, full-throttle fight sequence against herself in the futuristic clip, which also pays homage to her past as monitors play her old videos in the background.

Of course, it has everything else you'd come to expect from a Spears spectacle: killer dance moves, skimpy outfits, black leather and even a voluminous wedding dress that winds up serving as a paint canvas.

One thing we will hold against Brit: the blatant product placements.

"Hold It Against Me" is off Spears' new album, Femme Fatale, due in stores March 29.

Britney Spears Facing Multi-Million Dollar Lawsuit over ‘Hold It Against Me’ - Softpedia

Just days after she dropped the brand new video for her brand new song "Hold It Against Me," Britney Spears is set to face a court battle over claims that the song plagiarizes The Bellamy Brothers' classic ballad "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me."

The country duo made this claim once before, after the single premiered, as we also noted at the time. However, back then, they made it seem as if they didn't plan legal action for it.
The Bellamy Brothers have had a change of heart and they're considering legal options, with the purpose of taking camp Spears to court for ripping their famous love song off for the latest radio hit.

In an interview cited by the Daily Mail, the country duo says that they've taken the matter up with their attorney and are now waiting for a reply on what's the next step.

Still, they insist it's nothing personal against Britney – they just want the recognition that is truly theirs.

"Howard and I have no personal beef with Britney. She's a talented gal. But professionally we feel completely ripped off," David Bellamy says, reiterating the statement the brothers made a while back.

"We will without doubt take the appropriate legal action if our attorneys agree we've been ripped off," David adds.

The Daily Mail contacted a rep for the pop star for comment and, it turns out, if the Brothers are taking legal action against Spears, they're yet to announce her management of it.

"If this is now a legal matter then I am afraid we would have nothing to say until our lawyers have been alerted," says Spears' publicist.

For the time being, the matter is still pending. However, voices online point out, the Brothers may have copyright on the song but US law doesn't allow song titles to be copyrighted as well.

So far, the only resemblance between the two songs is in the title. Plus, Britney had no hand in writing it.

Check out the two tracks below – and see for yourself whether there is more to this than just a pure coincidence.
