Britney Spears denies lawsuit claims - Detroit Free Press

Posted: 10 Sep 2010 12:15 AM PDT

"Circus" singer Britney Spears is denying allegations that she sexually harassed former bodyguard Fernando Flores and says an investigation regarding allegations of child abuse is already closed.

"This lawsuit is another unfortunate situation where someone is trying to take advantage of the Spears family and make a name for himself," Spears said in a statement posted to her Web site Thursday after details of Flores' lawsuit were leaked Wednesday to TMZ.com.

"The Department of Children and Family Services conducted a proper investigation surrounding Mr. Flores' accusations and have closed the case without further action."

Spears did not say when the investigation was conducted. The department doesn't release details of its inquiries.

Flores said in his lawsuit that Spears repeatedly exposed herself to him and made other unwanted sexual advances. He also said she used his belt to discipline her young sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and behaved inappropriately in front of them on various occasions.

According to Flores' court filings, he began working for Spears in February but left her security detail in June. He's seeking unspecified damages and also is suing his former employer, Advanced Security Concepts Corp.

The first hearing in his case is scheduled for Jan. 25.

Kevin Federline Defends Britney Spears Against Claims of Abuse - celebritybabyscoop

Posted: 09 Sep 2010 01:53 PM PDT

Britney Spears is at the center of a lawsuit filed yesterday by her former bodyguard Fernando Flores. The ex-employee levels several charges against the singer, including sexual harassment, emotional distress and even allegations that she has physically abused her sons Sean Preston, 4 1/2 1, and Jayden James, 3 1/2.

Britney's camp has been quick to dismiss the shocking allegations, issuing a statement that reads in part, "This lawsuit is another unfortunate situation where someone is trying to take advantage of the Spears family and make a name for himself. The Department of Children and Family Services conducted a proper investigation surrounding Mr. Flores' accusations and have closed the case without any further action."

Britney's ex Kevin Federline - dad to her two boys - has also come to her defense, telling the Associated Press today that Mr. Flores' "allegations are a product of economic motives...They are as baseless as they seem."
