| Posted: 15 Aug 2010 12:32 AM PDT MUNCIE - Danny Barker, 62, of Muncie passed away Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital. Danny was born December 17, 1947 in Crawford, Tennessee to Shelby Barker and Frances Louise (Smith) Ramsey. He had worked at Phillipps Patterns and Castings Danny was a hardworker and loving family man. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Peggy Y. (Wake) Barker; one son, Danny R. Barker, Jr. (wife-Peggy K.), Muncie; two daughters, Christina Barker (special friends- Robert Stroud and Nina Austin) of Muncie and Amanda Barker (companion- Teddy Thornburg) of Springfield, Ohio; sister, Janie Potter, Maryville, Tennessee; brother Allen Ramsey, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren, Danny R. Barker III, Joey Barker, Rachele Patterson, Mindy Barker, Beverly Stroud, Britney Stroud, all of Muncie, T.J. Thornburg, Kayla Thornburg, and Brandon Thornburg and Kimberly Oren all of Springfield, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews; special friends, Ethel and Mike Spear of Muncie. Danny was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; his grandparents, who raised him and one grandson, Robert Patterson. Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Parson Mortuary. There will be no services. Danny will be cremated.
