April 26, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Subsequent to the recognition of the episodes illustrating the musical competence of Madonna and Lady Gaga, Glee is endeavoring to set up an episode on Britney Spear's music. Ryan Murphy, initiator of Glee, has declared that he is looking forward to utilizing the chartbusters of Spears. Buoyant by the triumph of last week's Madonna episode, Murphy confessed that he is considering tackling Britney in a future episode.

Murphy mentioned that he has always admired Spears and is attracted by the idea. He has articulated that he feels that young kids would like that.

Adam Leber, manager of Spears, got so motivated by the 'Power of Madonna' episode that he twittered. He queried the audience about whether they desired to glimpse a Britney Spears episode of GLEE. His tweet, as expected, has managed to generate a lot of buzz.

Glee is an American musical comedy-drama television series that is telecast on Fox in the United States. The series started airing on Fox in September 2009 and has, by and large, obtained constructive evaluations. It won the 2010 Golden Globe Award for the Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy and acquired three supplementary nominations also.

The Madonna special featured the Glee cast enacting the pop superstar's songs. They have become a massive hit among TV viewers. The generators of the show purportedly are also considering the music of Billy Joel and Led Zeppelin for impending episodes.

'Glee' To Go 'Outrageous' With All-Britney Spears ... - MTV.com

PierreBy Dana Kasser

So now that we have all felt Madonna's power, "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy plans to hit us baby one more time — but with a different blonde headed pop-star in mind. After solely dedicating an episode of "Glee" to perhaps the biggest pop-diva on the planet, the show plans to pay homage to the original teen-idol herself, Britney Spears.

"I'm interested in the Britney Spears idea. I've always loved her," Ryan told EW.com, "I'm entertaining it. I think young kids would like that." Ryan's comments came to surface following Britney's manager, Adam Leber's, mention about the idea via Twitter and lets not forget about Hollywood Crush's wise words and Photoshop skills for that matter…

After the success of the all-Madonna episode, it seems as though these hourly tributes aren't going anywhere, "I actually ran into Courtney Love the other day and talked to her," says Ryan. "She's interested. I would love to have the kids do a Courtney Love episode one day."

And not to worry, it isn't only blondes that will be having more fun. Ryan also revealed to EW.com that he's mulling over the idea to praise musical legends such as Billy Joel and Led Zeppelin.

Can't wait for the Britney Spear's tribute? Are you saying to yourself, gimme more? Well luckily for you "Glee" will be airing a full-fledged Lady Gaga episode later this season, and if you ask me "Glee" plus Lady Gaga doesn't equal a bad romance at all.

We already took the liberty of dressing up Quinn (Dianna Agron) in Britney garb circa "...Baby One More Time," but click on the photo below to see what other "Glee" music video remixes we hope to see one day too!

What Britney songs do you hope to hear if the episode gets made? What other hourly tributes would you like seen made? Let us know in the comments below!

By Ranjan Bhaduri
bNew York, Apr 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) If all goes well, the current season of "Glee" shall witness an episode dedicated to the pop diva Britney Spears. Reportedly, the brains behind Glee, Ryan Murphy told the media that Britney Spears had always charmed him like no one else and that he has plans to feature an episode on the pop princess in the upcoming episodes of Glee. Reportedly, the previous episodes of Glee have witnessed Madonna in "Power of Madonna" which made the show reach high TRP Ratings.

Following the same line, Britney Spears' entanglement with the show will be more than a boost to the hit musical "Glee." Britney Spear's manager Adam Leber has gone ahead to take this speculation to the next level. Adam Leber used his twitter account to generate massive excitement as he went ahead to keep an open question so as to make people comment whether they want Britney Spears on Glee. Since then the popular social networking site has been swarmed with several tweets which also included a reply from Ryan Murphy himself who said that he is very interested to have Britney Spears in his show which he thinks will be a great treat for all kids.

He is also into talks for having Courtney Love being featured in one of the episodes of Glee. Ryan Murphy told the reporters that they happened to run into each other. When Ryan Murphy had approached her to be a part of his show, she had given him a positive reply.

If Ryan Murphy manages to pull one episode on Britney Spears, then it shall be a great achievement for Glee. Ryan Murphy also wants to use Billy Joel's music in the upcoming episode.

Editorial: Excessive photoshopping not necessary but acceptable

published: Sun, 25 Apr, 2010

From what appeared to be a botched retouch job of Demi Moore on the December 2009 cover of W to the BBC documentary "My Supermodel Baby," which revealed that even model babies have their fat rolls airbrushed away, Photoshopping has dominated the media for the past year.

Interestingly enough, recent headlines have focused not on excessive photoshopping but a lack of photoshopping.

The most recent celebrity trend seems to be releasing un-photoshopped pictures, and many people are applauding these celebrities' decisions for promoting more realistic standards of beauty. Harper's Bazaar recently ran a piece called "The Naked Truth: Celebrities, Unretouched," which featured Kim Kardashian naked and un-photoshopped. In addition, Jessica Simpson appeared on the May cover of Marie Claire without makeup or image enhancement.

Probably snagging the most media attention, however, was Britney Spears, who had her raw Candies advertisement photos released side by side with the edited ones. Seeing a healthy but imperfect pink bikini-clad Britney Spear's next to her drastically altered near-perfection self, made many people wonder whether photo adjustment has gone too far.

The aesthetically enhanced Spears appears without bruises, tattoo-less and without cellulite — acceptable retouches. The drastic slimming of her thighs and already small waist, in addition to the total reconstruction of her backside, however, caused concern that edited images create unrealistic standards for young men and women. It's possibly promoting not shoes, but eating disorders and unhealthy self-images.

This is nothing new.

Last year, politicians in France even pushed for legislation that would require publishers, through its department of health, to note whether or not a photo was retouched, according to an article in the Huffington Post.

But aren't all photos retouched? It seems easier to assume that all images are retouched and instead state when an image has not felt the airbrush.

There really isn't anything shocking about an edited photo. Our society prefers its products — and its people — to be polished and perfected, so photos wouldn't be any different.

You wouldn't pay for a magazine that didn't edit and perfect its articles, so why would you pay for unedited photos?
While it might not be entirely necessary for magazines and advertisers to make thin models appear even thinner — like in the case of Ralph Lauren model Filippa Hamilton, who was photoshopped to the point of her hips appearing slimmer than her head — or to airbrush the fat rolls off babies, they're simply trying to sell a product, not to promote false images of beauty.

And as for consumers, we just need to be aware that the real thing never looks as good as the advertisement. We all know the burger you get at McDonald's never resembles the one you see on the billboard, so consumers just need to be aware that Britney Spears, as well as other celebrities and models, aren't actually as flawless as they appear in their photos. Be conscious about it.
