Britney Spears inspired Gwyneth Paltrow's 'Country Strong' character - Los Angeles Times Posted: 15 Dec 2010 05:24 PM PST December 15, 2010 | 5:47 pm For a character like Gwyneth Paltrow's struggling addict star in "Country Strong," you'd think the source material would be more Winona Judd than Britney Spears. But you'd be wrong. The once-embattled Spears served as inspiration for "Country Strong" writer-director Shana Feste, who says the media lifts talent to great heights only to destroy it. "That's where this movie came from. I mean, I was seeing what was happening in the media to Britney Spears," Feste told the Ministry at a Los Angeles screening of the film. "I finished the script when Michael Jackson passed away. I think it's tragic how we treat people who give us so much, and we love to see them knocked down to build them back up again, to knock them down again. "It's a weird fascination." Katherine Jackson -- Hangin' in Britney's Hood - TMZ.com Posted: 16 Dec 2010 01:17 AM PST 35 minutes ago by TMZ Staff Ordinary people usually hit up a Motel 6 while their home is being renovated -- but Katherine Jackson is no ordinary person. Here's where Katherine will be living -- along with Michael Jackson's three kids -- for the next few months. It's a 12,670 square-foot mansion in Calabasas, CA -- just a block from Britney Spears! Katherine is plunking down $26,000 a month -- the exact amount of her monthly allowance from the Michael Jackson estate -- while her Encino home is being extensively remodeled. The 7 bedroom rental features a game room, movie theater, guest house, Jesus juice wine cellar, and much more.
