| Britney Spears Fights Back Against Ex Husband's Abuse Allegations - Pop Eater Posted: 02 Dec 2010 05:40 PM PST ![]() Britney Spears' manager is slamming Star Magazine for reporting that the pop singer's beau, Jason Trawick, abused her, calling the story "completely and utterly false." "Suffice it to say, Jason Trawick has never laid a hand on Britney," Spears' rep continues. Spears' representatives are preparing to launch legal action for defamation. On Wednesday, the alleged conversations between Spears and her former husband of 55 hours, Jason Alexander, were posted online. When asked about problems with "fiance" Trawick, a voice reported to be Spears replies, "That f***er is not my fiance." The voice attributed to Alexander says, "I thought he proposed to you or something at the beach?" Spears allegedly answers, "Before or after he beat on me?" Alexander swears the tape is legit. "I completely stand behind my story ... that is absolutely my ex-wife Britney Spears on that tape," he told Star. Star Magazine reports that Alexander has taken a polygraph test, and he passed. "Alexander passed a polygraph test administered on Nov. 19 in which the examiner determined Alexander showed absolutely no signs of deception," according to Star. Listen to the phone call at RadarOnline >> GossipCop cast doubt on whether the call truly features Spears speaking. Though it sounds like the pop star, a representative denies the report. Moreover, GossipCop's Michael Lewittes tells PopEater, "I produced her interview with Matt Lauer for 'Dateline,' and it doesn't sound like her." A second tape made available Wednesday afternoon, reveals more of the alleged conversation between Spears and Alexander. "I didn't want the public knowing about it and I didn't want to file anything so everyone could find out," Britney says. "So I've just left him and changed my number." Star's article also alleges Britney was pregnant with Trawick's child in early 2010. The Huffington Post notes Alexander has a history of making big allegations about Britney, a longtime friend. Alexander's allegations have included cocaine use and a story of he and Britney taking ecstasy the night before their Las Vegas wedding in 2004. "Alexander insists that he remains close with the pop star," HuffPo writes. In May, a Spears rep told PEOPLE the pair had "decided to end their professional relationship and focus on their personal relationship." Britney's mother Lynne praised Trawick in November 2009, calling him "stable" and saying, "He's the kind of man you would dream of your daughter marrying." http://xml.channel.aol.com/xmlpublisher/fetch.v2.xml?option=expand_relative_urls&dataUrlNodes=uiConfig,feedConfig,entry&id=691977&pid=691976&uts=1273167996 http://www.popeater.com/mm_track/popeater/music/?s_channel=us.musicpop&s_account=aolpopeater,aolsvc&omni=1&ke=1 http://cdn.channel.aol.com/cs_feed_v1_6/csfeedwrapper.swf PopScene: Week's Hottest Pics Gabourey Sidibe attends The American Cancer Society's Choose You luncheon on May 5th in New York City. | Britney Spears and Jason Trawick show united front after abuse allegations - New York Daily News Posted: 02 Dec 2010 06:44 PM PST ![]() Cohen/WireImage Britney Spears and Jason Trawick showed little despair Wednesday after the agent was accused of abuse.Hours after the couple was rocked by allegations of an abusive relationship, Britney Spears and Jason Trawick showed a united front at the agent's Beverly Hills office Wednesday. The singer visited her longtime beau twice in the afternoon while her reps went on the defensive over a Star magazine story alleging Trawick is a beater. The shocking accusations came from Jason Alexander, whom Spears was married to for just 55 hours in 2004. Spears' publicist told the Daily News Wednesday that the Star story is "a complete fabrication," insisting the "(Hit Me) Baby One More Time" singer and Alexander haven't spoken in years. Shortly after the story hit newsstands and lit up the Internet, Spears headed to William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, where the agent has worked for years. After spending some time together, the pop star left – only to return a short time later. TMZ.com video shows Spears hiding beneath a hat and wearing dark sunglasses, as she walks briskly into the building for the second time. When the couple left together in Trawick's car, both kept a straight face as photogs barraged the vehicle. Star reported in its new issue that Spears had told Alexander about her "abusive relationship." RadarOnline.com posted audio purporting to be the singer discussing with her ex how Trawick "beat on me." But Spears' publicist said the recording "is so obviously fake as to be laughable." According to the rep, Spears, who turns 29 Thursday, plans to take "legal action against all of the appropriate parties."
