Britney Spears took time out from tweeting about her Glee episode to put in some face time at the Los Angeles Superior Court today.

The songbird spent around 35 minutes of quality time behind closed doors, huddling with the judge presiding over her conservatorship case.

So is Britney still under her dad's thumb?

Afterward, Judge Reva Goetz returned to open court to announce that the conservatorship will stay in effect.

"I did meet earlier with both Jamie [Spears, Britney's dad and conservator] and Britney individually," Goetz said. "I had a nice conversation with Britney...about how things are going with the current state of the conservatorhsip."

Goetz, who met with Jamie for around two hours in chambers, ruled "the current order will remain in full force and effect as it is."

Spears and her father both arrived and left the court separately. Jamie arrived around 8:30 a.m. and Britney showed up an hour later. Britney looked like she could be heading for a night out—sporting a backless black dress, black ankle booties and waist-length blonde extension. She left without speaknig to reporters.

The court also approved a new investment strategy.

Britney's next court date was set for Oct. 14.

Although she has publicly supported the conservatorship, reports have persisted that Britney, 28, wants to end the order—in which her dad and and a lawyer control her financial and medical affairs.

Under the guidelines for ending a conservatorship, she must file a petition with the court. As of now, no such petition has been filled.
