Wintersville Elementary pupils lauded at annual awards ceremony

WINTERSVILLE - The annual awards assembly recently was held at Wintersville Elementary School, as pupils in each grade received a variety of honors.

Principal Toni Jean Dondzila welcomed the pupils and thanked them for their hard work.

"Thanks for coming to school today and for working so hard throughout the school year," she said. "I am very happy to be at this event and I am very proud of all of you. For those of you leaving me next year, make me proud. Remember who you represent."

Awards were presented in spelling, reading, math, language arts, social studies, science, handwriting, improvement, academic excellence, academic achievement, outstanding effort and accelerated reading.
